Facilities Management's mission is to construct and maintain safe, comfortable environments for citiizens and employees while minimizing public inconvenience and disruption of City business, and to ensure proper use of City facilities through the development of a long range facility plan. This plan helps determine the proper use of present and future City facilities.
The City's current building portfolio includes more than 230 buildings totaling almost 1.7 million square feet of space. These buildings are maintained by a staff that includes HVAC technicians, electricians, plumbers, general maintenance technicians and both a day and evening custodial staff. A list of the most frequently visited buildings with their addresses can be found by clicking on public buildings.
New construction, as well as major renovatons, is handled by our Constructions Services group that includes a Construction Services Manager, Project Manager and Project Coordinator. They are generally overseeing at least 20 various projects at any given point in time.
If you need to reach the Facilities Management Department to report a building related issue or concern, please call 972-205-3037.
